Jeeps In the Movies - Cars
Today we have a tangential followup to our last post about Old Faithful.
In the 2006 Disney/Pixar film Cars there's quite a few background Jeeps, but only one that's a main side character.
Sarge is a khaki green 1942 WW2 Willy's army Jeep that runs his own government surplus store. Sarge is a natural patriot and loves America. Every morning he raises the Stars and Stripes in front of his army hut to a version of "Reveille" while saluting with his antenna.
He proudly served in World War 2 (don't think about the in universe logic of that too much) and loves to tell stories about his daring fearlessness in the military. One time, one of his tank friends lost a track in the Battle of the Bulge and Sarge towed him to safety. For his bravery Sarge received the "Grille Badge of True Metal", casting him as an homage to Old Faithful.
